Urachal Actinomycosis : CT Findings in Two Patients

caused by the Gram-positive anaerobic filamentous bacterium, Actinomyces Israeli. Actinomycosis involving the urachal remnant is extremely rare and can mimic urachal carcinoma or other infectious conditions (1, 2). Because of the nonspecific clinical presentation, the diagnosis of urachal actinomycosis is usually made by surgery followed by a histopathologic examination. The radiologic findings of urachal actinomycosis are rarely reported. We report the CT findings of actinomycosis involving the urachal remnant in two patients who were treated and confirmed by wide excision and partial cystectomy. Case Report
